Rachid Eletel was born in Zahle, Lebanon and graduated from St. Joseph University in Beirut with a BA in business administration in 1977. He immigrated to the United States in 1978 and has founded several companies including Art Glass Etc., Inc., a California company that designs and manufactures high-end custom wood doors and windows with unique handcrafted glass for the residential and commercial markets. Art Glass, now with nation-wide distribution, continues to thrive under his leadership more than twenty-three years later.
Rachid is one of the original founders of the Lebanese American Foundation, and has been its Chief Financial Officer since its inception. He has served as chairman of numerous fundraising events including two highly successful raffles, and together with his wife Angele co-chaired the 2004 Pride of Heritage Annual Banquet. Rachid and Angele will chair this year’s Pride of Heritage Annual Banquet as well.
Rachid and Angele are active supporters of several community organizations and programs that benefit our community here and in Lebanon.
A devoted father of three children, Rachid Eletel has given countless hours of his time, tremendous energy, financial expertise and support to the advancement of the House of Lebanon.
