Dr. Fuad Khuri, born in Tripoli, Lebanon, attended Tripoli Boy’s School and graduated in 1964. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the American University of Beirut. After graduating from AUB, he went to the University of Rochester for surgical urology training. Upon completing five years of surgical urology training in Rochester, he received his Board Certification in Urology.
In 1977, he went to The Hospital for Sick Children, in Toronto for a pediatric urology fellowship. After completing his residency and fellowship, he went back to Rochester to join a private urology group.
In 1989, he started a trading card business that is geared to the mass retail markets, while still continuing his urology practice. The business excelled and grew substantially to encompass most of the major US retailers. In 2004, he decided to retire from the practice of urology and dedicate more time in the business with the intention of moving to Los Angeles. Finally, in 2007, the move was completed and Dr. Khuri and his family were finally in Los Angeles enjoying the beautiful weather.
In his free time, he enjoys golf, competitive bridge and of course his family of two children and two grandchildren. He has met many new friends though the House of Lebanon and values each of his many friendships.
Dr. Khuri volunteered his time to the House of Lebanon, before becoming a member of the board of directors. In 2011 he was the Co-Chairman of the highly successful Lebanese American Foundation Golf Classic. Now, as a member of the board and the executive committee, he looks forward to soon establishing the physical structure for the House of Lebanon, so that the Lebanese American Foundation can move forward with “our goals to better serve our people."
