Amira Matar
Relationship Manager, Private Wealth Management
Amira Matar is a relationship manager for BNY Mellon’s Private Wealth Management group in Los Angeles. In her capacity as a Senior Private Banker, she works with high net worth individuals, family offices and foundations on large complex unsecured and securities-related credit facilities. She currently manages the largest unsecured credit relationship at Mellon. Her expertise in real estate lending includes underwriting jumbo residential real estate loans and lines, as well as commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Mellon in 2000, Amira worked as a Senior Private Banker at City National Bank and Bank of America. She held various management positions throughout the 25 years with Bank of America including Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking Team Leader, Regional Credit Administrator for the Westside Preferred Banking and Assistant to the Credit Administrator of the entire Commercial and Corporate Banking Divisions of Bank of America. In those capacities, she was responsible for employee management and training, sales, underwriting, negotiating and approving complex credit transactions for high net worth individuals and large Corporations. Amira has 35 years of banking experience ten of which are with Commercial and Corporate Banking and sixteen with Private Banking.
Amira was educated abroad, is fluent in French and Arabic as well as English and holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
