Dear Friends,
At the Lebanese American Foundation (LAF), we believe that all of us share a common vision for our community. Though we may be of different ages, religions, and professions, we have all been influenced by Lebanon's glorious history, vibrant people, and diverse culture. Our vision for our community is to create a bridge that would connect future generations of Lebanese Americans with their roots, while strengthening our ties with the American society.
It is this vision, of our ever-evolving heritage, that has inspired the LAF to establish a "House of Lebanon" in Southern California. Our goal is to create a place where people of different ages, religions, and political perspectives can meet, socialize, and enjoy sharing in Lebanon's unique culture. The LAF is committed to generating progressive and functional programs to address the specific needs of our community and friends, free of religious or political influence. Our dream for the House of Lebanon is to be a place of pride for all our people.
We have collected almost $3 million. We are actively searching for an appropriate site for the House of Lebanon and we are counting on your support and generosity to build a place the Lebanese American community can be proud of.
With our sincere thanks,
| Hanna Shammas, MD LAF Chairman |
Kanan Hamzeh LAF President |
