George Hage was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1958. He came to the U.S. in 1978 and graduated with a degree of automotive design and technology in 1983.

Hage married Abeer Risheq in 1984, and had 3 children: Chuck who was born in 1985, Tina in 1987 and Chad in 1994.

In 1986 he joined Hitron Systems, Korea and started Hitron USA in 1990. Hitron Systems, Korea went public in 1997 which was the only company that went public in 1997 during the Economic collapse in Korea. Today, the Hitron Group is the largest manufacturer of CCTV/Security equipment in the world with factories in Korea, China, Japan, and offices/warehouses in the USA, Europe and the Middle East occupying more than 2,000,000 square feet. The total group has more than 1700 employees including 450 engineers with a turnover in excess of $400M annually. IDIS, which is one of the Hitron family’s companies, was ranked number 62 in the world in Forbes magazine in 2004 as one of the fastest growing companies
under $1 billion.

Hitron systems have board members in many public and private companies as well as non-profit organizations. These board members string from Honorary Commander in the Sheriff Deputy Association as well as board members and Chairmen of the Holy Spirit University Foundation. The Holy Spirit University has more than 7000 students and is the fastest growing private university in Lebanon. Hitron also has an elected member of the Board at the Digipen Institute in Seattle, Washington since 2005. Digipen is the leading university in Computer Science, Animation, and Game development with more than 2000 students.
